A Little Box of Bears

The Idle Bear, A Bear Tale, The Rare Bear
by Robert Ingpen

The books

Have you ever wondered what your teddy bear might be thinking? Where he or she came from? Or what happens when they become old and rare? Robert Ingpen provides the answers in these three delightful tales.

The Idle Bear

The thoughts of Ted and Teddy are explored as they ponder and reminisce about the lives they once had as children’s toys – when they were important to their owners. Now, confined to the attic, they muse and question where they came from and why they are now ‘idle bears’.

A Bear Tale

Are teddy bears wise, or is it just owls? Join the inquisitive Ted on a journey of discovery. To slump or not to slump? That is Ted’s question.

The Rare Bear

Having served the same family for five generations, Bear discovers that he is to become a very special ‘Rare Bear’ and his friends declare that a celebration should be held to honour the occasion.
