Book publications include Directors in British and Irish Cinema (2006, associate editor), Michael Balcon: The Pursuit of British Cinema (1984) and other studies in British cinema. He also writes on classical music (The Times). He collaborated with Jerry Epstein on his Chaplin memoir Remembering Charlie (1989), loves American music and humour, and might be the only person in the world to earn an M.A. degree by writing a thesis on the Marx Brothers. |
