Donald Bradman is one of the best-known and best-loved cricketers in the history of the game. Born in New South Wales, Australia in 1908, Bradman cut his cricketing teeth with the local team before being invited for a trial in Sydney.

He made his first tour of England in 1930, when he went beyond all expectations to score 974 runs at an average of 139.4 per over - a record that still stands today. His return to the game after the Second World War did not disappoint, and in his last tour of England in 1948 he played a series that proved a fitting finale to an imcomparable career, with a team that earned the nickname 'The Invincibles'. In 1996 he was the inaugural inductee to the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
