Publication Overview Beatrice Phillpotts has worked as an editor for British publishers, as a contributor to such partworks as Dinosaurs and True Action Adventures of the 20th Century, and as a journalist and art critic for regional newspapers and for Arts Review. Her first book, Fairy Paintings (1978), hailed as the classic work on the subject,was followed by a second exploration of a popular genre of fantasy art, Mermaids and The Faeryland Companion, which became a worldwide bestseller. Her most recent book, The Wizard's Book of Spells, published in the UK by Palazzo Editions, has been sold in several editions worldwide.
